This means that these event areas are now equipped with state-of-the-art Wi-Fi coverage based on the latest standard. Hall 3 easily passed its stress test during an international finance congress, with up to 8,000 participants heavily utilizing the network simultaneously.
For our event organizers, this new network standard—specifically designed for environments with extremely high device density—offers numerous advantages:
- Stable, high-speed connections even under peak load – Wi-Fi 7 is optimized for thousands of simultaneous connections
- Highly efficient use of frequency bands through cutting-edge technologies (such as 4K-QAM modulation and MLO)
- Real-time applications with zero latency – e.g. for cloud gaming, telemedicine, VR/AR experiences, and all latency-critical applications
- Seamless interaction in latency-free live installations
- Wi-Fi 7 achieves theoretical speeds of up to 46 Gbit/s – applications such as 8K streaming or large data downloads run without waiting times
Across the entire site and in our other event locations, the Wi-Fi 6 standard is currently available, providing a stable baseline network that can of course be optimized as required.
