A Business Administration graduate, Romina Gowin-Becker began her career at Messe Frankfurt in 2001, where she completed a dual work and study programme, specialising in trade fair, congress and event management. After working for a year in New Zealand, she took on a number of different project management functions at Messe Frankfurt. Since 2013, she has been responsible for Messe Frankfurt’s Kap Europa venue as Head of Project Management. In her new function, Romina Gowin-Becker – together with her team – will be the point of contact and organisational partner for congress and conference organisers. She is married and has a one-year-old son.
As Johann Thoma, Vice President of Guest Events, explains: “We are delighted that we have been able to fill this challenging position with a colleague from our own ranks. Romina Gowin-Becker has a wealth of experience in the congress and conference business and is therefore ideally positioned to continue these activities successfully within the Locations business field.”
Around 170 international congresses and conferences are now held at Messe Frankfurt every year. Claudia Delius-Fisher built up and expanded this field to great effect over the past decades. Johann Thoma: “With her excellent expertise, but above all her passion for the congress business, Claudia Delius-Fisher played a central and extremely influential role in our success in this industry sector. It is very impressive that she succeeded in working at a consistently high level over such a long period of time. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Claudia Delius-Fisher most sincerely for her sterling work and to wish her every health and happiness in the future.”
