The new hall 5

Demolition of Hall 5 has now begun on the exhibition grounds. The exhibition hall was constructed from 1970 to 1972 on the basis of a design by the architect Martin Schoenmaker.

The gap that will be created by the removal of Hall 5 will not be there for long, however, as construction of the new exhibition hall designed by Frankfurt architectural office Gruber + Kleine-Kraneburg commenced in April 2020. The proud successor is scheduled to enter service in 2023, 51 years after the completion of the old Hall 5.
