The campaign's poster design 'First in giving future a face'

The best poster in the trade fair world comes from Frankfurt. Messe Frankfurt’s current external advertising campaign has received an award from UFI (Union des Foires Internationales). The Frankfurt entry triumphed over strong international competition, comprising 161 posters entered by 49 trade fair organisers. The result was the Grand Award in the category for the “Generic promotion poster promoting the exhibition industry as a whole”.

“We are delighted to receive this award. In our campaign with the motto of “First in giving future a face”, we aim to demonstrate the fascination and the influence of the trade fair as a medium. Our events inspire – and so they trigger innovation. This award from UFI confirms that our message is being understood,” says Kai Hattendorf, Head of the Corporate Communications Division at Messe Frankfurt and responsible for corporate marketing.

The international competition has been organised by UFI and the Plovdiv International Fair in Bulgaria since 1997. The award for the best poster is presented in the categories of “Generic promotion poster promoting the exhibition industry as a whole” and “Exhibition event poster”. The jury justified its unanimous decision by praising the impressive graphic representation of the power wielded by a trade fair company as a strong marketing medium.

The campaign consists of a total of six designs with the motto of “First in giving future a face”. It demonstrates how Messe Frankfurt can benefit visitors and exhibitors, triggering inspiration and offering new perspectives through presentation of international trends and innovation. The external advertising campaign was designed in co-operation with the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi in Frankfurt.
