By autumn 2018, construction of the new Hall 12 in the western section of the exhibition grounds will have been completed. Designed by architectural office kadawittfeldarchitektur, the new exhibition hall consists of two levels one above the other, offering 33,600 square metres of exhibition space.
Peter Feldmann, Mayor of Frankfurt am Main and Chairman of the Messe Frankfurt Supervisory Board, joined the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt to lay the foundation stone for the new Hall 12 in the west section of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds in an official ceremony held on 13 October 2016. Numerous invited guests from the realms of politics and business were also in attendance.

Züblin AG, Uwe Becker Mayor and Treasurer Frankfurt am Main, Kilian Kada, Managing Director of kadawittfeldarchitektur GmbH, Peter Feldmann, Mayor of Frankfurt am Main, Manfred Schmitz, CEO Engie Deutschland, Uwe Behm, the member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt with responsibility for this major construction project and Wolfgang Marzin President and Chief Executive Officer of Messe Frankfurt.
