13.02.2012 Sachiko Inoue, Japanese Trend Expert leads Spring / Summer 2013 on-site forecasts at Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics

  • China Fabrics trends foretell vibrant story for both suitings and women’s wear in halls 1A2 and 8A

Trend expert, Ms Sachiko Inoue from Tokyo, Japan will present the latest textile colours, textures, and moods for Spring / Summer 2013 at the Intertextile Directions trend forum located in hall 4 during Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics. Taking place from 28 – 30 March 2012 at the China International Exhibition Centre, many of the confirmed international exhibitors will display their apparel fabrics and accessories in line with the coming fashion season.

In addition to Sachiko Inoue, the Intertextile Directions Trend Committee is comprised of influential trend forecasting agencies from international fashion destinations including Elementi Moda from Milan; NellyRodi™ Agency from Paris and Doneger Creative Services from New York, who together have interpreted the coming Spring / Summer 2013 fashion point of view through a series of seamlessly connected themes.

The forecast focuses on a return to the use of natural materials, surfaces, organics aspects and colours that are close to those of nature as well as a harmonious exchange between elements and environment.

The Intertextile Directions trend forum, in hall 4, features four stories occurring across multiple timelines through:

The Simple Life – A range of diluted colours ringed in white: chalk, talc powder, eggshell, sand, desert rose, dried grass, gravel, silica gray, sepia brown with a focus on strong tactile effects, raw aspects and fibrous textiles.

The Poetic Scenario – Easy brights and dream-like pastels: coral red, orchid lilac, aqua blue, grass green, turquoise, sun yellow, shell pink, sky blue, anis with a focus on a wide range of fabrics endowed with lightness, fluidity and softness.

The Raw Beauty – Colours reflect the aridity of the deserts and the humidity of vegetation: wood brown, terracotta, sienna, khaki, mud green, leaf green with a focus on a celebration of uneven textures through irregular woven yarns: hemp, raffia, straw and paper.

The Hedonist Future – Rich saturated pigments: true red, bright orange, hibiscus, atoll green, lapis lazuli, lagoon blue with a focus on graphic facades, pictorial geometrics and playful stripes.

Besides the international trend perspective, Fabrics China Trends, located in halls 1A2 for suitings and 8A for women’s wear, foretells a vibrant story as guided through four directional themes.

Full of Vitality – Fresh colours from plants seem soft and clean: ivory, milky white, wheat yellow, khaki and olive with a focus on simple and clean weaves and tweeds.

What is Suitable? What is Good? – Bright colors such as canary yellow, crystal pink, sky blue and orange enhance dark shades such as gray, navy blue and deep coffee tones with a focus on light fabrics with micro fibres as well as new materials and synthetics.

Deco Art – Complex decorative styles produce various colors: full red, mid-tone yellow and indigo create an exotic atmosphere, hues of plant greens along with metals and fluorescent colors with a focus on multi-coloured fabrics in all kinds of finishes.

Essence for Spirit – Cyan and smoke grey, shades that seem to have been dyed and washed as well as deep charcoal grey and ink blue outline an atmosphere such as Chinese monochromes with a focus on natural and light textures.
