14.07.2010 Expanded Board of Management for Messe Frankfurt Exhibition

Iris Jeglitza-Moshage, Stephan Kurzawski and Klaus Reinke promoted to Senior Vice Presidents of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition

Messe Frankfurt has reinforced the management team of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition. The Board of Management with Wolfgang Marzin (Chairman), Detlef Braun and Uwe Behm has promoted three Vice Presidents of Messe Frankfurt to be Senior Vice Presidents in a new, expanded Board of Management. The new Senior Vice Presidents will help the three Board Members push ahead with strategic subjects faster than ever before. “Although the Board of Management has been reduced in size, we want to pay more attention to our customers than ever before. At the same time, we want to increase the speed at which we can react to changes in the market”, explains Chairman of the Board, Wolfgang Marzin. “We are delighted that we have been able to gain the services of three excellent members of staff who have all made a great contribution to the development of the Messe Frankfurt Group over the years.”

In her new position, Iris Jeglitza-Moshage (48) will be responsible for technical fairs of Messe Frankfurt and, therefore, the future development of the leading international trade fairs in this segment – ISH, Light+Building, Texcare International, Texprocess and IFFA – in Frankfurt and the events held outside Germany under these brand names. At the same time, she will build up Messe Frankfurt’s new ‘security technology’ area of expertise, which is represented worldwide by the Intersec and Secutec brands. In her new position, Iris Jeglitza-Moshage reports to the Chairman of the Board of Management, Wolfgang Marzin, who has been in charge of all technical fairs except Texprocess, which remains the responsibility of Board Member Detlef Braun, since 1 July.

In future, Stephan Kurzawski (50) will have overall responsibility for the development of the company’s brands in the consumer-goods sector, especially the traditional trade-fair brand, Ambiente. Head Office Sales Controlling will also report to him in the future. Stephan Kurzawski, who used to be responsible for the consumer-goods fairs earlier in his career at Messe Frankfurt, will continue to be in charge of the Automechanika fairs. In this new position, he reports to Detlef Braun.

Klaus Reinke (52) has assumed responsibility for setting up and running a new group department, ‘New Business’. He is also responsible for the development of new event subjects in Frankfurt and for the repositioning of the ‘Messe Frankfurt Akademie’ as a provider of specialist seminars and, increasingly, conferences and congresses. In his new position, Klaus Reinke reports to Wolfgang Marzin.
