High regional interest in segment draws participation from suppliers and manufacturers from across the globe
The latest in specialty automotive accessories and performance-enhancing tuning products will be on display at Automechanika Mid-dle East 2010. The event will feature a wide range of products and services from world-leading manufacturers and suppliers.
Reputed as the foremost trade event for the automotive aftermarket in the wider Middle East region, Automechanika Middle East 2010 will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 25 to 27.
“The Middle East region, with its prosperous consumer base is an area of great interest for manufacturers of specialty accessories, tuning and performance-enhancing products,” said Mr Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer, Epoc Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “With Autome-chanika Middle East being the platform of choice to access this rapidly-growing segment, it’s no wonder that we have attracted participation from leading players in this segment,” he added.
Countries in the Middle East region, especially the GCC, represent one of the largest potential markets for automotive tuning and specialty products in the world according to surveys conducted by industry representatives. This interest was reflected in the fact that over 50% of the visitors to the last edition of Automechanika ME were interested in automotive accessories, special equipment, performance systems and tuning. The 2010 event will feature a wide variety of products and services in this segment for those interested in souping up their vehicles.
Mr Mahmut Gazi Bilikozen, Senior Show Manager, Automechanika Middle East, said: “We have a dedicated area to Accessories & Tuning at the exhibition. This is because it is an area that has been growing considerably in this region and so enjoys great demand. The sector excites car enthusiasts with the endless combinations of car modification for high performance that are on offer there.”
Among those present at Automechanika Middle East 2010 are Borla Performance with an array of tailor-made exhaust systems geared for high-performance on road and track. These systems made of high-grade steel are expected to attract a lot of attention from the end-users in the region.
Also present are Mustang Dynamometer, who will be displaying a state-of-the-art chassis dynamometer as well as officially introducing their New DragSim Software Package to the Middle East marketplace. The MD-AWD-1100 Series chassis dyno is among the most advanced and versatile chassis dynamometers available.
