07.07.2010 Messe Frankfurt Exhibition announces extended Board of Management

Iris Jeglitza-Moshage, Stephan Kurzawski and Klaus Reinke appointed Senior Vice Presidents at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition

Messe Frankfurt is building up the management team of its Messe Frankfurt Exhibition sub-group. The Board of Management – consisting of Chairman Wolfgang Marzin, Detlef Braun and Uwe Behm – appointed three Messe Frankfurt Vice Presidents as Senior Vice Presidents in a new extended Board of Management. The three new appointees will provide support to the three members of the Management Board in advancing strategic issues even more quickly than previously. With regard to the decision, Wolfgang Marzin commented: “Although our Board of Management has been reduced in size, we aim to attend to our customers even more intensively than before. At the same time, we want to respond more quickly to market changes. We are very pleased to have been able to secure an outstanding candidate for each of these positions, all of whom have done sterling work in the Group for years.”

In the new structure, Iris Jeglitza-Moshage (48) is to take responsibility for technical trade fairs. This means that she will be in charge, among other things, of the further development of trade fair brands ISH, Light+Building and IFFA in Frankfurt and of overseeing the branding of these worldwide. At the same time, she is to develop Messe Frankfurt’s new Security Technology field of expertise, which is represented worldwide by the Intersec and Secutec brands. In this capacity, she will continue to report to the Chairman of the Board of Management, Wolfgang Marzin.

Stephan Kurzawski (50) will have overall responsibility for the development of trade fair brands in the area of consumer goods – in particular the traditional Ambiente brand. International Sales Management will also report to him in future. Stephan Kurzawski, who was already responsible for consumer goods fairs earlier in his time at Messe Frankfurt, will also be in charge of the Group’s Automechanika events. In his new capacity, he will report to Detlef Braun.

Klaus Reinke (52) will have the task of setting up and managing new Group companies in the field of “New Business”. He will be responsible for the development of new event themes in Frankfurt and the further development of Messe Frankfurt´s online business. In recent years, he set up a B2B product portal for all trade fairs in the Group’s Productpilot subsidiary parallel to his role as Vice President Central Purchasing and Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Medien und Services GmbH. He will also be responsible for repositioning “Akademie Messe Frankfurt” as a provider of specialist seminars with an increasing focus on conferences and conventions. In his new function, Klaus Reinke will report to Wolfgang Marzin.
