30.07.2010 Messe Frankfurt appoints Klaus Münster-Müller to the Group’s extended Board of Management

Klaus Münster-Müller (52) is taking on new responsibilities within the Messe Frankfurt Group. Münster-Müller, who has been Vice President of Controlling, Development and Finance, will now be Chief of Finance in the extended Board of Management with immediate effect.

“It is important to us and to our shareholders that we have outstanding financial expertise in a central location within the Group,” said Wolfgang Marzin, Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt, “and with Klaus Münster-Müller, we have one of the exhibition industry’s top experts.” The appointment of Münster-Müller completes the formation of Messe Frankfurt's extended Board of Management, which is now comprised of Board members Wolfgang Marzin, Detlef Braun and Uwe Behm, the Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding, Stephan Buurma, and Klaus Münster-Müller.

Münster-Müller studied Economics and Business Administration at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg, and has been working for Messe Frankfurt for more than 22 years. After joining the company in 1988 as an assistant to the Board of Management, he held a number of management positions in Messe Frankfurt’s commercial operations, and has been Vice President of Controlling, Development and Finance for the past six years.

Klaus Münster-Müller, who was born in the Bavarian town of Amberg, is married and has two children.
