Modern Press Center
Working, networking and relaxing in a pleasant atmosphere – that is what Messe Frankfurt's comfortable and convenient Press Center has to offer on 900 square metres. After a year of renovation, which ended in 2008, journalists now have the most modern conditions in which to work.
The concept for the completely revamped Press Center was developed by Italian architect and designer Matteo Thun. The notion of sustainability, with an eye to economic, ecological and socio-cultural considerations, played a major part in the development process. Natural materials such as oak, smoked oak, walnut and black slate are used to create a harmonious effect. This culminates in a vertical wall of plants, underscoring the natural character of the surroundings and creating a pleasant room climate.
