Beautyworld in Frankfurt am Main will strike out in new directions from 2011 when its multi-faceted range of products is integrated into Ambiente and Hair and Beauty. “With this modification, we are reacting to current developments in the market, which include an extensive process of concentration and new sales structures”, says Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, explaining the reorganisation of the subject in Frankfurt. Today, Messe Frankfurt organises five beauty fairs around the world, from Dubai, via Osaka and Tokyo, to Buenos Aires and Mumbai. “We have a firm grip on the beauty-fair scene worldwide. This still applies to Frankfurt, albeit in a new form and in different settings”, adds Peters. At present, there are no plans to continue Beautyworld as an independent trade fair in Frankfurt.
Specifically, the trade-oriented section of the former Beautyworld, e.g., accessories, perfumes, etc., will be integrated into Ambiente from 2011. This change is being made at the request of the exhibitors. These product groups will be positioned in the Giving section of the fair and become part of an extremely large international business setting. At the same time, the user-oriented section of Beautyworld will become part of Hair and Beauty. Distinguished by international presentations revolving around nails, make-up and beautician training, ‘Beauty@Salon’ will be the new platform or exhibition segment for beauticians and service providers in the beauty market. An expansion of the programme for ‘Beauty@Salon’ – with special forums for care cosmetics, natural cosmetics and anti-aging – is planned for the future.
These changes will strengthen and perfectly round off the subjects covered by Hair and Beauty. In 2011, the fair will occupy Halls 5.0 and 5.1.
