Around 4,300 exhibitors at the coming Ambiente in Frankfurt am Main from 12 to 16 February 2010 will present tens of thousands of new products. To help protect these products, Messe Frankfurt launched the ‘Messe Frankfurt against Copying’ initiative in 2006 and thus became the world’s first fair and exhibition company to take steps against product and trademark piracy.
To increase awareness of this problem, Messe Frankfurt is holding a modular seminar on intellectual property protection for the first time during Ambiente. The seminar will be held on the Saturday of the fair, 13 February, and is aimed at all Ambiente exhibitors and visitors.
“As the world’s most important trade fair for consumer goods, Ambiente is the ideal venue to draw attention to the problem of product and trademark piracy. This is where players from all over the world meet and where the international trade gets together. Ambiente is the leading platform for the presentation of new products”, explains Nicolette Naumann, Vice President, Messe Frankfurt.
