19.01.2010 Design Plus awarded 28 times for best design and excellent functionality

The plus sign is the mathematical symbol for addition – and this is also what it means in the case of Design Plus. This renowned award is given for products that skilfully add design, functionality, aesthetic qualities and clever realisation. The most intelligent calculations can be seen at Ambiente from 12 to 16 February 2010 – 28 products from 22 companies in eleven countries, including renowned brands such as Alessi, Authentics, Dibbern, Royal VKB, Stelton A/S and Zwilling, have been selected for the 2010 Design Plus Award. The winning products also include creations by renowned designers, such as Matteo Thun and David Chipperfield, as well as up-and-coming young designers, such as Alexa Lixfeld and Ineke Hans.

The 28 winning products of the 2010 Design Plus Award will be on show at an exhibition in the Galleria at Ambiente from 12 to 16 February. Most of the products selected this year come from the Table and Kitchen segment and range from porcelain, via knives, to practical kitchen and household aids. A total of 177 companies from 25 countries entered more than 500 products for the competition.
